I think Mandanda is one of thos physical freak that are very good at making good saves look like miraculous ones. Frankly, I've always been high on Mandanda, as I've stated multiple times in the past, but right now, the hype is ridiculous. Sure, he's top 5, maybe top 3 goalie in Ligue 1. But he's still prone to some mistakes, as the recent weeks have proved. Lloris to me, is highly underrated. He's been starting for years now, and the guy can't catch a break in the media. Either he's in the shadow in Nice and nobody notices how great he is, and now that he's in Lyon, you hear how his goals against (very low) is due to his team. From what I remember, Lloris has made in 3 years, one big mistake (in Romania recently) and has allowed around 3 goals he could have managed to save, boxing or deflecting a ball straight to an opponent forward. I'm sorry, but Mandanda has made many more mistakes in less then 2 years. And no, Mandanda doesn't make more "big saves", simply because he's much more out of position than Lloris is and thus has to fly to save balls that aren't close to the post. So, all in all, Mandanda is a fantastic goalie, but Lloris has the potential (and IMO is) to be one of the best goalies in the game. Big debate right now.
