Prospects #40 to #31By: Evilo | August 15th, 2011
Here’s the list from #40 to #31
31- Karim Ait-Fana (11), Montpellier, LW/RW, 89, Marocco
Rating : 8.5 C-, J. Cole
Talent : Ait-Fana is a heavily talented winger, who can dribble past anyone and create danger out of nothing. He has a fantastic touch on the ball. He is a bit light physically, but that should come. His season was a huge disappointment however.
32- Nicolas Nkoulou (34), OM, CB/DM, 90, Cameroon
Rating : 8.5D, Blanc
Talent : Nkoulou is a very smart and talented defenseman who needs to grow in his body and become more physical. He has trouble against physical forwards but he has a lot of tools to become a world class defenseman. He was disappointing last year, but the potential is there.
33- Vujadin Savic (U), Bordeaux, CB, 90, Serbia
Rating : 8 C, Vidic
Talent : Savic is strong, tall and imposing. However, his focus is not there yet and he has some work to do to correct that.
34- Pierrick Cros (U), Sochaux, GK, 91
Rating : 8 B, Coupet
Talent : Cros showed some great promise when he had some playing time with Sochaux this year. He has great reflexes and didn’t make glaring mistake.
35- Rémy Cabella (U), Montpellier, AM, 90
Rating : 7.5 B, Belhanda
Talent : Cabella showed great technique when he was loaned to Arles last year. This year will tell us more about his potential.
36- Loris Néry (U), Saint Etienne, RB, 91
Rating : 7.5 B+, Sagnol
Talent : Néry is a quick RB with good crossing ability. We’ll see how he fares in his second season, but I like his potential.
37- Neeskens Kebano (U), PSG, RW/LW, 92
Rating : 8.5 C-, Ribéry
Talent : Kebano features the best first name in football obviously, but he’s not just a name. He’s a tremendous dribbler who can break a defense in small spaces.
38- Kévin Théophile-Catherine (U), Rennes, LB/CB/RB, 89
Rating : 7.5 B, Abidal
Talent : TC is a solid defenseman who is right footed but played as LB. He does the job pretty well, especially defensively.
39- Yannis Tafer (21), Lyon, Striker, 91
Rating : 8.5 C-, Trézéguet
Talent : Tafer is a deadly scorer, a real poacher. He isn’t over physical nor fast, but extremely good in front of the net. He was part of the U19 european championship team. He started injured but played in the third game (scored a goal), played very poorly in the semifinal, and made some key plays coming off the bench in the final. However, he was loaned to Toulouse, but failed to make any impact. His stock has definitely gone down because of that.
40- Cédric Bakambu (U), Sochaux, Striker, 91
Rating : 8 C, Gomis
Talent : Bakambu is a very strong striker, quick, but who needs to develop his scoring ability. He can also play wing sometimes, but he’s a better fit for striker.
