L1 16th round prospects preview
By: Evilo | November 29th, 2008
A few prospects to watch for tonight and tomorrow :
Bordeaux – Sochaux :
Obertan and Gourcuff are expected starters. Watch for Obertan’s progress.
For Sochaux, Erding, Carlao and Jokic will try to catch one point, but that seems a pretty hard thing to achieve.
Nice – Grenoble
Loïc Rémy should return this time for Nice.
Keep an eye on Feghouli’s touch for Grenoble, it’s fantastic how he always try to speed up the game.
Lyon – Valenciennes
For Lyon, Lloris and Ederson will try to keep Lyon’s mid-week form.
Valenciennes will dress Sanchez in the middle of the field.
Lille – Lorient
Cabaye will start for Lille, while Gameiro will start for Lorient.
Le Mans – Caen
For Le Mans, Bouhours should start on the side of the defense, while Coutadeur and Gervinho will try to creat danger.
For Caen, Toudic should see time. Watch for this guy, his direct play is a joy to watch and since Caen will counter-attack in this game, he should be dangerous.
Le Havre – Nantes
Nestor will start as usual for Le Havre, this time as CB.
Nantes should start R. Faty, this time as CM, his prime position.
Auxerre – Monaco
Quercia will try to find his old form back for Auxerre while Narry will try to be as solid as he’s been recently. Of course, Riou will be a solid wall in nets.
For Monaco, Nkoulou could make his comeback while Pokrivac will show his nice touch.
Toulouse – Marseille
E. Capoue should start as usual for Toulouse. M’Bengue as well.
For Marseille, Ben Arfa who was amazing against Liverpool will try to continue his show in Toulouse.
Nancy – St Etienne
Les Verts were much better in UEFA cup action, and Payet or Mirallas could be dangerous this time.
Rennes – PSG
M’Bia and Lemoine will try to team up to stop PSG’s good form.
Top 3 predictions :
1/ Gourcuff : somewhat weak opponent + good form = danger
2/ Lloris : can you say clean sheet?
3/ Toudic : I love this guy’s game.
Flop 3 predictions :
1/ Pokrivac : talented, but this type of game is not for him.
2/ Gameiro : this time, Lille’s D should be stiffling.
3/ Erding : always dangerous, but Bordeaux should win this game emphatically.
