I’m back…

By: Evilo | April 20th, 2009

It lasted longer than I thought and I missed lots of action.

A few things to consider over the last few weeks :
1/ Yatabaré is really establishing himself as a nice impact player for Caen.
2/ Benzema’s good from didn’t last more than one single game.
3/ Hazard is something else. He’s going to be a star people.
4/ Sakho makes such a difference for PSG. Amazing how steady PSG’s D is when he’s here.
5/ Gourcuff’s form is really horrible. At least he works defensively though.
6/ OM is in love with Gervinho.
7/ Gameiro is still one of the top strikers in the country.
8/ Pino is really developping well. He has talent, that’s for sure.
9/ Rémy’s few days with the national team seems to have light a fire under his ass.
10/ Machado is a must buy for St Etienne. He has a big impact on their game.

We’ll be back to regular updates starting next week.

    Welcome back, Evilo!

Why do you think Gourcuff’s form is horrible, he was alright in the first half, didn’t do much in the second, though.

What did you think about Gouffran’s performance?

About Gourcuff : he was all right, but since the PSG game (the thrashing with the goal of the year), he hasn’t been the same.
I think part of it is physical : he was running everywhere for months. Part of it is mental : he probably saw himself higher than he was and most of all, his transfer is getting to his head.

As for Gouffran, he’s finally showing his talent and he was great against OL (and he’s been good recently). I still think he needs to play striker in Bordeaux’s scheme, but that’s how it goes. Gouffran is a guy I like a lot, his talent set is really impressive. I hope he plays more games like that.

Evilo, do u think Eden Hazard can be used as a fast right winger(like theo walcott)?Or is he more of a playmaker who can be used out wide(like hleb or nasri at arsenal).

    He’s more of a playmaker.
