He started strong but has been really average (at best) the last couple of months. Maybe it got to his head at some point.

RICHARD : Lol, yes, Monaco was featured heavily in my May top 50. They have a lot of nice prospects, and in fact I said I thought it was the best academy in L1.
Problem is, while they have many nice prospects (Nkoulou, Mollo, Martin, Pino, Nimani, etc…), none is really deserving of that top 25.

Andrew Ayew is not doing too great (although he’s still young and he does have talent), but his brother Jordan is supposed to be better anyway.

Frankly, I don’t have enough time to work on lists for L2 and National (though I did a L2 top 10 a few years back), and I don’t have the media coverage that enables me to see by myself. Reports are great, but I like to see players myself, and I can’t do that for L2 and National, except for highlights.

I like your list, and I have to agree with almost all of the ratings. But I do encourage to try something similar with Ligue 2 or even National/CFA level youngsters. I dont want to sound like a snob, because I really am not, but playing in Ligue 1 is not always the best indicator of a youngster’s potential. I understand there has to be a cut off point, but when you mention someone like Joris Delle, who has not played in Ligue 1 yet, but then there was someone like Steve Mandana who hadnt played in Ligue 1 til he was 22 and he is exceptional now, you have to take a closer look. If you want any help Id be more then willing to lend a hand. Which reminds me, I owe you a post on Said Mehama, Ill work on that this weekend. Cheers!
